This is an area where you can add your random sarcastic comments. You can have them all disappear with time like a regular blog post or if you have one that you want always to stay on the front page, we can make it “sticky.” WordPress with Thesis is great that way.
You can add your pictures either in separate posts or as part of your sarcastic comments. You can mark a post in several categories which you can devise yourself. As long as you tick “Peep Gallery” in addition to whatever other categories you choose for a post, that post will show up in the Peep Gallery. When you insert your images in the Thesis “Post Image and Thumbnail” area of your post editing page, Thesis automatically creates thumbnail images for you to show in your “teasers” after the main post and in archives.
Because we are using Thesis, you will be able to have 1, 2 or 3 columns for your website. And if you change your mind, you can edit them easily by ticking boxes inside Thesis. You can also choose from 7 “web safe” fonts or more than 20 overall (if you are feeling daring) from an easy drop down menu.
Adding widgets to your sidebar is easy with Thesis. You can simply drop and drag what you want and order them as you please. You can also use text or html widgets. Want to show recent posts? Recent comments? Tag cloud? RSS feed, calendar or links? You can choose and rearrange at the snap of a finger. Or at least the click of a mouse.
You’ll notice the embedded “Peep Wars” video at the top of the sidebar. This area is called the “multimedia box” and we can embed videos, like this one from Youtube, have a static image or have images that rotate when the page is refreshed or you navigate to another page (like I have on http://melaniemcminn.com)
